Former AEW Tag Team Champions reuniting for the first time since 2020
Former AEW World Tag Team Champions are set to reunite after four years outside of the Jacksonville-based promotion. The tag team is of none other than Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky.
SoCal Uncensored (Frankie Kazarian & Scorpio Sky) were the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions, but the duo split in September 2020. However, their reunion was announced recently by Prestige Wrestling as Kazarian and Scorpio Sky will be replacing FTR in their match at Prestige Roseland 9.
On their X (Formerly known as Twitter) account, Prestige Wrestling confirmed that FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) are unable to make the September 29th show due to Hurricane Helene and will be replaced by Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky who will take on The Midnight Head.
The last time @FrankieKazarian & Scorpio Sky tagged together was 4 years ago THIS WEEK in AEW against… FTR! 4 years later they make their Roseland debut against The Midnight Heat! SCU REUNITES - But who will walk out victorious?
Campaign Singh on former AEW star Frankie Kazarian's recent WWE appearance
After leaving AEW, Frankie Kazarian returned to TNA Wrestling. The Nashville-based promotion has recently been developing a working relationship with WWE's NXT brand. A couple of months ago, NXT held a battle royal to determine the number one contender for the NXT Championship. TNA stars Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry were the surprise entrants in that match.
In an interview with Sportskeeda, Campaign Singh reacted to Frankie Kazarian's appearance and said that the fans shouldn't forget the TNA Legend's debut. Singh said that Frankie deserves all his flowers as he has been in the business for a long time.
"Don't forget Frankie Kazarian was in there too. Frankie and I have a lot of respect for each other, and when I saw him on TV, I was equally happy as when I saw Joe Hendry or Jordynne [Grace] on the show. No disrespect to you or any other viewer, but they can't forget any other TNA talent that steps on that stage. Frankie's been there for a long, long time, and he deserves his flowers, too."
It will be interesting to see if Frankie Kazarian returns to NXT as the working relationship between WWE and TNA seems to be getting a positive response.
