Former AEW Women's World Champion dealing with concussion: "It's not worth it"

Despite getting several of its major stars back in recent months, AEW is still dealing with multiple injury issues. Former Women's World Champion, Thunder Rosa, now joins the list after revealing that she has been dealing with a concussion.

Thunder Rosa returned from a long injury hiatus in December last year. The Mexican star hasn't managed to capture any gold since returning to AEW, but she recently emerged victorious in her feud with Deonna Purrazzo. However, Rosa will now be out of action for at least a couple of weeks.

During the latest episode of Busted Open, La Mera Mera revealed that she had suffered a concussion, and she made a plea to her fellow wrestlers to stop and get checked if they ever felt like the same may have happened to them. She urged her peers not to put their health at risk, stating, "It's not worth it."

"If you feel like you have a concussion, make sure you stop. Don't get in there. It's not worth it. I can tell you... right now, I'm suffering a concussion. So I'm gonna be out for a little bit, for a couple weeks," she said. [H/T: Drainmaker on X]

Thunder Rosa teases helping AEW's Saraya with her Jamie Hayter problem

Thunder Rosa may be out of action, but she's still being cheeky on social media. Saraya recently asked for her help, and the 38-year-old teased that she may step in with an assist.

Saraya is currently being hunted by Jamie Hayter, who returned from her own injury hiatus at All In 2024. Hayter has been relentlessly pursuing the former WWE Superstar—to the point that Saraya believes the 29-year-old is obsessed with her.

Thunder Rosa recently claimed that Hayter might indeed be obsessed, but when Saraya asked for her help, Rosa was noncommittal.

Rosa has been on a quest to get back into AEW's main event scene since returning to action. Whether she's able to recapture her former glory remains to be seen.
