Former AEW World Tag Team Champion’s mic gets deliberately cut off during Dynamite
A former AEW World Tag Team Champion’s mic was deliberately cut off during Dynamite in a surprising move. This was a setup, and it should have been expected.
The name in question is none other than Max Caster of The Acclaimed. He and Anthony Bowens went off on the Young Bucks last week after Anthony was fined for criticizing the EVPs, which Tony Khan eventually rescinded. The Acclaimed also challenged the Bucks to a match in a promo last week.
As they made their way out to the ring this Wednesday, Caster came out with a mic in his hand to start with a rap like he always does, only for it to be cut off. The AEW EVPs started to laugh and taunt them while Kazuchika Okada appeared on the big screen.
He was seen fiddling with some buttons and, in the process, cutting Caster’s microphone off. This distraction allowed the Bucks to ambush their opponents for the night and get a head start in their match.
This rivalry looks like it is taking shape in the best way possible, just before the AEW Forbidden Door event. It will be interesting to see what happens in the weeks ahead.
