Former champion claims his AEW "suspension continues"
AEW is once again running a three-hour block of programming this week, with Rampage set to air directly after Saturday Night Collision. Ahead of the show, The Acclaimed's Max Caster referenced his latest suspension.
Platinum Max is a controversial figure, having gained fame through his freestyle rap verses during his entrance alongside Anthony Bowens and Billy Gunn. However, his rapping has gotten him in plenty of trouble as well, with him being suspended more than once.
His latest "suspension" seems to be a running joke, although it's difficult to tell when Caster is being serious even at the best of times. When All Elite Wrestling advertised a singles match between Anthony Bowens and Brian Cage for tomorrow's Rampage, Platinum Max jumped at the chance to proclaim on X (formerly Twitter) that his suspension was still ongoing.
"My suspension continues this Saturday on #AEWRampage!" he wrote.
It's unclear whether Max truly is suspended this time or just trolling fans, which seems to be one of his favorite pastimes.
AEW's Max Caster calls himself the best wrestler alive
All Elite Wrestling has signed several free agents throughout the early months of 2024, with perhaps the most impactful being former NJPW phenom Will Ospreay. The Aerial Assassin has wowed fans with his in-ring prowess, but The Acclaimed's Max Caster seems to think he's even better than the British star.
A fan recently took to X to ask for a match between Caster and Ospreay. Platinum Max, who loves to troll on social media, didn't hesitate to label himself the "best wrestler alive."
Check it out:
"Best Wrestler Alive ™️ vs the best Japanese wrestler of all time… the match sells itself!" wrote Caster.
Max Caster and Will Ospreay have never squared off in the ring before. But with The Aerial Assassin currently undefeated in AEW and running through the promotion's talent, there seems a decent chance the two will face off sometime in the future.
