Former writer shares shocking story about PAC, AEW star was uncomfortable saying a line in WWE
A former WWE writer recently revealed that AEW star PAC (fka Neville) didn't want to deliver a line in a promo during his time in WWE. PAC worked under Vince McMahon's leadership on the main roster.
PAC was signed to WWE from 2012 till 2018. He started on the NXT brand and is also a former NXT Champion. In 2015, he was moved to the main roster and despite having a great run on the former black and gold brand, Neville fell victim to a rather underwhelming booking on the main roster. The AEW star was apparently unhappy with his direction in WWE, including some of the lines he was given for the promos.
In a recent Rolling Stone article "Inside the WWE Writers Room, 'A Kingdom Ruled by Fear,'" former WWE writer Michael Leonardi revealed that a segment was planned on Martin Luther King Day for the January 18, 2016 episode of Monday Night RAW.
The segment involved Neville (PAC), Mark Henry, Titus O'Neill, and R-Truth where the highflyer had to repeat a line from Luther King's iconic speech, “I’ve got a dream too, and that dream is to win the Royal Rumble.” Michael Leonardi revealed that Nevile felt uncomfortable about delivering the line in his promo. The former writer made some adjustments and finally assigned the line to R-Truth instead of the AEW star.
PAC is currently a part of the Blackpool Combat Club in AEW
PAC captured the AEW World Trios Championship with Claudio Castagnoli and Wheeler Yuta at All In. However, he became a full-fledged member of the faction at All Out where Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli shockingly turned heel on Bryan Danielson and kicked him out of the faction.
Jon Moxley took over the leadership of the faction by introducing PAC and Marina Shafir as the latest members. The group has been causing havoc in All Elite Wrestling and even managed to turn Wheeler Yuta against Bryan at WrestleDream, which resulted in the youngster rejoining the dominant faction.
Fans will have to wait and see which All Elite talent stands up to the Blackpool Combat Club in the future.
