Former WWE champion costing Hangman Page at AEW All In may happen, feels veteran
AEW is gearing up for All In 2025, its biggest annual pay-per-view. Three matches have been announced for the show so far, and the stakes are high on all of them. Interestingly, fans have special anticipation for the showdown between Jon Moxley and "Hangman" Adam Page for the AEW World Championship.
"Hangman" Adam Page's story in All Elite Wrestling is complicated. His rivalry with former NXT North American Champion Swerve Strickland is considered generational, and at All In, The Cowboy could become a two-time AEW World Champion.
However, in the latest episode of Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, wrestling veteran Disco Inferno raised a good point. Swerve and Page previously promised each other that they would not allow one another to win the company's world title in their lifetimes. According to the former WCW World Cruiserweight Champion, it would make sense storyline-wise if The New Flavor cost Page his match at the upcoming pay-per-view.
"Everybody agrees that they need to get the title off Moxley. Okay, but my thing is, like, bro, if they're sticking to this storyline, Swerve and Hangman Page have both said while either of them is alive, they're never going to see the other one with the world heavyweight championship. So I can absolutely see Swerve sc***ing Hangman. And Moxley holds on to the belt," he said. [From 5:03 to 5:24]
"Hangman" Adam Page says Being The Elite kickstarted AEW
Although the Being The Elite YouTube channel is currently dormant, in a recent interview with Variety, "Hangman" Adam Page credited it for the formation of All Elite Wrestling. Back in the day, this channel was immensely popular with the internet wrestling community.
"When I start talking about my career and what I’ve been through, I can’t talk about it without mentioning Being The Elite, what it meant for wrestling, and how really, AEW wouldn’t have existed without it," he said. [H/T: Variety]
Adam Page is one of Tony Khan's most valuable assets, and hopefully, he will stay in the promotion for many years to come. It will be interesting to see if he dethrones Jon Moxley at All In: Texas.
