Former WWE champion discusses how The Young Bucks could return to AEW television
Matthew and Nicholas Jackson are reportedly going to be away from AEW programming for some time after their recent loss at Fright Night Dynamite. Former WWE superstar Nic Nemeth recently put forward an idea as to how the All Elite EVPs' television return could be presented.
The October 30, 2024 edition of Dynamite witnessed a major set of titles changing hands as Private Party dethroned The Young Bucks of the AEW World Tag Team Championship. As per the stipulation of the bout, Zay and Quen would have to stop teaming up had they lost, but the up-and-coming duo picked up the win in an iconic moment five years in the making.
After the match, The Bucks surprised fans by handing Private Party their tag belts themselves, following which they were seen packing up their possessions and leaving the arena in a rush, refusing to stick around for the ongoing rampage of Jon Moxley and The Blackpool Combat Club.
The EVPs, whom the All Elite roster has already called out on television for their inaction, informed Christopher Daniels that they would be working from home for some time. The latter would be restrained by Moxley as The BCC maimed The Elite's long-time ally Brandon Cutler backstage.
The aforementioned storyline could lead to The Young Bucks potentially turning babyface somewhere down the line and finally stepping up alongside the AEW roster to oppose the new BCC, suggested former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Nic Nemeth on Busted Open Radio recently.
"This could be something that eventually [the AEW locker room] is like, 'Please come help us,' and they go, 'S**** you. We're the EVPs and we're working at home.' You could slowly have [The Young Bucks] come around," Nemeth said. "And as the BCC dominates everything and slowly pulls everything away, there's only one group that could come back and help us, even the odds. And maybe this is a transformation back into the 'We built this d*** place. We're coming back to save it.'" [H/T - Wrestling Inc]
The AEW locker room looking to The Elite and/or The Bucks to support them against Mox and company makes storyline sense, as the group went to war with The BCC last year and even defeated the latter in a brutal Blood and Guts Match in July 2023.
AEW EVPs The Young Bucks broke their silence on social media after leaving Dynamite
The Young Bucks are well-known for using their X (fka Twitter) bio as a platform for character work, storyline progression, and even for interacting with fans.
Following this week's Fright Night Dynamite, The Jackson Brothers took to the same to announce that they were going to be working from home indefinitely.
It remains to be seen when and how The Bucks will come back to AEW programming.
