Former WWE Champion is the perfect fit for AEW, believes wrestling veteran
A WWE veteran recently claimed that a top AEW champion was a great signing for the young promotion. The star being discussed is Bryan Danielson, and the veteran is Jeff Jarrett.
Double J has been very active in the Tony Khan-led promotion lately. He has been feuding with Hangman Page for months. He is also the current Director of Business Development and is mostly involved in backstage roles.
Meanwhile, the American Dragon is often regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers to exist. Since his arrival in All Elite Wrestling in 2021, he has been putting on great performances. He captured the AEW World Championship at All In London this year.
While speaking on his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett stated that Bryan Danielson is the 'perfect fit' for the Jacksonville-based promotion. He also said that despite the latter making a name for himself in WWE, he is a great professional wrestler and was excited to sign him.
"Having that talent like a Bryan Danielson, and I just think it was peanut butter and jelly, if you will. It was steak and eggs, it was a real perfect fit because Bryan — the 'Yes Movement,' and all the showbiz and sports entertainment, fantastic. Bryan would not be the box office attraction who he is today without all of that, but with all that being said, he is a through and through professional wrestler, and so him getting in bed with this brand, I was so pumped," he said. Bryan Danielson's AEW World Championship is on the line at WrestleDream
Bryan Danielson will be facing Jon Moxley at the WrestleDream pay-per-view this Saturday, October 12. The latter defeated Darby Allin to take his number-one contender spot.
This might be Danielson's last match for a while because if he loses the title, he will be retiring from full-time competition in AEW.
It will be interesting to see who walks out of WrestleDream as the World Champion.
