Former WWE champion responds to MJF's comments after his heel turn in AEW

A WWE Hall of Famer interestingly reacted to the former AEW World Champion, MJF's first promo on Collision last Saturday. The promo was cut after the shocking heel turn last Wednesday on Dynamite.

The former WWE champion in question is Bully Ray (fka Bubba Ray Dudley). Bully is known for his 'Dudley Boyz' tag team with D-Von Dudley. He gained prominence during his time in the Stamford-based promotion, winning multiple tag team titles as well. Bully often gives his opinions on what's happening in the pro wrestling world.

On AEW Collision last Saturday, Maxwell Jacob Friedman cut an opening promo after his shocking heel turn on Dynamite last week. MJF took a shot at Will Ospreay, saying Will cares about Dave Meltzer's ratings while he cares about Nielsen's TV ratings.

The WWE Hall of Famer, Bully Ray, took notice of the promo and presented his case on whether ratings matter. Bully took to X/Twitter to claim that ratings matter because AEW's homegrown talent told him so:

"Ratings “dont matter” But one of the top guys and TOP home grown talent in AEW just told me they do. Ratings matter… In whatever form…they always have and always will."

MJF claims a rising AEW star will never wrestle again

MJF turned heel last week on Dynamite by attacking the rising AEW star, Daniel Garcia. Max also assaulted Garcia, sending him to the hospital as well. During his promo on Collision last week, The Devil claimed that Garcia would never wrestle again:

"I offered you a match at Wembley Stadium against let's face it, the greatest wrestler who's ever lived, and you didn't answer? Well Dani, after what I did to you, you ain't going to make it to All In, hell, you're never gonna wrestle again."

Moreover, Daniel Garcia is expected to be out of action for an uncertain period of time after the brutal assault by MJF. Only time will tell whether Dani will be healthy enough for a return.
