Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis provides serious life update
Maria Kanellis has shared a massive update after a worrying revelation. Throughout her career, she worked in WWE for almost nine years and performed in ROH, TNA, NJPW, and other prominent promotions.
The 42-year-old star has been signed to AEW since 2022. She made a couple of appearances in the Jacksonville-based promotion and currently appears on ROH along with her husband, Mike Bennett, and Matt Taven. The duo currently holds the ROH World Tag Team Championship. However, Maria Kanellis hasn't been seen on TV for months.
The former TNA Knockouts Champion recently shared a piece of scary information about how she found an irregular mass in her body after conducting a CT Scan. A few hours later, on Twitter, Maria Kanellis provided a serious update on the reports of her scan. She revealed that while a mass is present on the Adrenal gland, she is unsure if it is cancerous.
"So here is the update. Yes it is a mass on my adrenal gland. Next step is meeting with an endocrinologist surgeon. It’s inconclusive at this point, if it is cancer. In other news, I ate French fries and a concrete mixer and I feel a little better," the former WWE Diva wrote.
Maria Kanellis reveals she didn't want to become a wrestler
The 42-year-old star wrestled plenty of matches during her first run in WWE. However, during her second run, she mostly accompanied her husband, Mike Bennett.
Maria Kanellis tweeted about wanting to do other major roles rather than being a wrestler. However, she deleted the post later on.
“Few other things, I don’t wrestle and I’m not trying to wrestle. I never wanted to be a wrestler but I tried it and it wasn’t for me. I like working backstage, producing, directing, developing and I like managing. I like to create. My favorite thing is helping talent find themselves in this industry. The only reason I would wrestle is for my children to see momma wrestle,” she wrote.
Only time will tell how severe the reports are and how they affect her health.
The Sportskeeda community wishes Kanellis a swift recovery.
