Former WWE Diva Maria Kanellis shares rare personal update

Former WWE Superstar Maria Kanellis is currently signed to AEW and Ring of Honor where she manages Cole Karter and Griff Garrison. Furthermore, she is the founder and co-owner of an indie wrestling promotion called Women's Wrestling Army.

Kanellis is married to AEW star Mike Bennett, and the couple has two children. The elder, daughter Fredrica Moon Bennett was born in April 2018, while the younger, son Carver Mars Bennett in February 2020.

Recently, the 42-year-old posted a selfie with her daughter and added an inspirational caption. She revealed that Fredrica slightly scrapped her nose, knee, and hand, however, the latter did not make a fuss about it. The six-year-old kept saying that she was okay and her mother believes that the mentality of "everything will be okay" after a setback applies to adults too.

"Now, I’m telling myself I’m okay too until I’m okay. Kids have a way of inspiring everyone and everything around them. They are incredibly resilient and tough. I wanna be that tough," said Maria Kanellis.

Maria Kanellis recently revealed that she has a worrying health issue

Earlier this month, Maria Kanellis took to X (formerly Twitter) and informed her followers that after undergoing a CT scan, medical personnel discovered an irregular mass in her body. Furthermore, she was unsure if the mass was cancerous or not.

"So here is the update. Yes it is a mass on my adrenal gland. Next step is meeting with an endocrinologist surgeon. It’s inconclusive at this point, if it is cancer. In other news, I ate French fries and a concrete mixer and I feel a little better."

Kanellis had two stints in the Stamford-based company: Once from 2004 to 2010, and again from 2017 to 2020. There, she won the WWE 24/7 Championship while being pregnant, making her the first-ever pregnant champion in the history of the promotion. Additionally, in 2009, she won the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year.
