Former WWE name takes a shot at Bryan Danielson ahead of huge AEW Dynamite match

A former WWE personality has taken a dig at Bryan Danielson before the latter wrestles a huge match on AEW Dynamite. The name being discussed is Nigel McGuinness.

The 48-year-old was a commentator at WWE from 2016 to 2022 and has been commentating on AEW Collision since 2023. The star's feud with Bryan goes way back, and he takes a shot at him during commentary in every possible instance.

The American Dragon is on a quest to capture the AEW World Championship as he plans to retire as a full-time wrestler in 2024. He defeated Shingo Takagi and PAC to reach the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The winner of the contest will possibly face Swerve Strickland for the world title at All In 2024.

Bryan Danielson will face "Hangman" Adam Page as the last hurdle for a championship opportunity. After more than four months, the former AEW World Champion returned to the promotion and scored brutal victories over Jeff Jarrett and Jay White. He has returned with a vengeance on his mind against his arch nemesis, Swerve Strickland.

Recently, Nigel McGuinness tweeted to mock Danielson for his match against the furious "Hangman" Adam Page.

"#prayforBryan," he wrote.

Bryan Danielson wants to face Nigel McGuinness

Bryan and Nigel wrestled multiple times in the independent promotion. Unfortunately, the latter retired from pro wrestling in 2011.

While speaking with the Wrestling Classic podcast, the American Dragon said he wanted to face the commentator again.

“I would love to wrestle Nigel (McGuinness). I get afraid of fan expectations of what it would be. And I don’t know how many people have actually seen our matches but it’s like, they were very physical matches," Bryan said.

Only time will tell who would go to All In between Bryan Danielson and "Hangman" Adam Page.
