Former WWE personality makes an embarrassing botch on AEW Collision
A former WWE personality made a noticeable error while calling the latest episode of AEW Collision. The veteran botched the announcement of an upcoming major match.
The former WWE personality in question is Tony Schiavone. He had a brief stint in the Stamford-based promotion as a play-by-play commentator from 1989 to 1990. Schiavone has been among the main announcers for AEW ever since the promotion's inception in 2019.
Being a color commentator on Dynamite, Schiavone also works as a play-by-play announcer on Collision. On the latest edition of AEW's Saturday night show, Tony Schiavone made an embarrassing botch while announcing the bout between Will Ospreay and Darby Allin in the Continental Classic Gold League.
The match is slated to take place on Dynamite: Holiday Bash, which is a week from next Wednesday. However, Schiavone almost mistakenly mentioned that the contest will take place on Dynamite: Winter is Coming while calling the contest between Allin and Komander on Collision. Nonetheless, the veteran quickly corrected his mistake.
Many viewers are eagerly awaiting the match between Darby Allin and Will Ospreay in the Continental Classic. It remains to be seen who prevails in the Gold League showdown between the two former All Elite Wrestling champions.
