Former WWE RAW personality takes a massive shot at Tony Khan ahead of AEW Dynamite
A former WWE RAW general manager seemingly took a shot at AEW President Tony Khan before this week's Dynamite. The veteran has been critical of Khan's leadership skills in the past.
The former WWE personality is Eric Bischoff. He has lambasted Tony Khan for his work in AEW several times. Bischoff has a lot of experience in booking and producing shows since his days in WCW and TNA Wrestling. During his stint in the Nashville-based company, Easy E worked closely with Dixie Carter.
For those unaware, Dixie Carter was the president of TNA Wrestling from 2002 to 2017 before her exit from the pro wrestling business. Recently, a fan on X/Twitter asked Eric Bischoff who among Tony Khan and Carter was better at producing a wrestling TV show. The ex-WCW executive replied:
"Dixie. Not even close."
Eric Bischoff and Tony Khan have gone back and forth on social media several times. Hence, it's clear that they don't like each other.
WWE Hall of Famer would reject a move to the Tony Khan-led promotion
WWE Hall of Famer Eric Bischoff recently claimed that he would turn down an offer to join AEW for various reasons. On his 83 Weeks podcast, Bischoff gave the following reasons why he would not work for the Jacksonville-based promotion.
“No. I hope AEW pulls a nose up, figures out a way, and has vision, but we all know it’s pretty public, the kind of drama going on backstage. If I was in my 20s and 30s, hell yeah. Why not, especially with the kind of bags that are being thrown around backstage there? Hell yeah, I’d do it. Even in my 40s, I would have done it, but at this stage of my life, I wouldn’t go near it. First of all, the first time I step [sic] foot in AEW, everything that’s wrong with that place would be wrong because of me."
Anything can happen in pro wrestling, and only time will tell whether Eric Bischoff will ever change his mind about possibly working for AEW.
