Former WWE star, who has been compared to The Rock, confirms major AEW appearance

A former WWE star recently confirmed a major appearance for AEW. The star in question would be EJ Nduka.

Nduka is popularly known for his brief stint in WWE. He gave two tryouts for WWE (December 2018 and April 2019) after which he signed a contract with the promotion in August 2019. He worked under the ring name Ezra Judge and was released from his contract in May 2021. He reportedly signed with AEW in June 2023.

Last year, in an interview he recalled his interaction with Triple H where the latter compared him to Dwyane 'The Rock' Johnson.

"I'm chopping it up with H, and he said, 'You remind me a lot of DJ [Dwayne Johnson].' I'm having the conversation, and I'm just enamored being able to talk to H because just to be able to talk to Hunter is big. Midway through the conversation, it clicked with me, 'He said DJ; he's talking about Dwayne.'"

Speaking on his vlog episode 15, he revealed that he will appear for Tony Khan's promotion soon. He is scheduled to make an appearance for All Elite Wrestling on July 20.

"Your boy will be in Dallas on July 20th with AEW," he said. "Shout out AEW. Your boy's going to be out here, The Judge in the building. July 20th [at] Esports stadium in Arlington, Texas. [The] show starts at 6 p.m. and The Judge is in the building." [From 9:38 to 9:58]

EJ Nduka addresses absence from AEW TV

EJ Nduka wrestled his first match in the Jacksonville-based promotion on the January 28, 2023 edition of AEW: Dark. He went head-to-head against Konosuke Takeshita. Shortly after, he inked a deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion.

However, speculation has been growing about the star not being on AEW programming. Replying to a fan who spoke about his absence Nduka previously stated that his time would also come.

"Not hurt at all. Built different Just controlling what I can control."

He has been a part of the company for almost one and a half years but hasn't been featured prominently on the weekly shows. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the star.
