Former WWE star makes a big claim about match in AEW: “Maybe our best ever”
A former WWE star deemed one of his great matches in AEW as his team's best-ever bout while reacting to it on social media. The match took place last year on Collision.
The former WWE star in question is Dax Harwood of FTR. Dax and Cash Wheeler had an underwhelming run in the Stamford-based promotion from 2012 to 2019 where they wrestled under the name, 'The Revival.' The duo has been on the AEW roster since 2020 and has had a great run, becoming the All Elite World Tag Team Champions twice.
FTR was considered the best tag team of the year 2023 by many in the wrestling world as well. Last year, Dax and Cash had a memorable series of two tag team matches against The Switchblade Jay White and Juice Robinson of the Bullet Club Gold on Collision and the matches are still highly regarded by the fans.
Meanwhile, a fan on X/Twitter shared the highlight package of one of the matches between FTR and BCG from Collision in August 2023. Interestingly, Dax Harwood took notice of the match highlights shared by the fan and reacted to it, claiming it was possibly FTR's best-ever match:
"Watched this today. Maybe our best ever," Harwood wrote.
FTR got another shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles
Last week on Dynamite, Private Party defeated The Young Bucks to become the new AEW World Tag Team Champions. On Collision last Saturday, the new Champs came out to celebrate their win with other tag teams.
It was later announced that Private Party would defend their tag titles in a four-way tag match at the upcoming Full Gear pay-per-view. Hence, FTR will take on House of Black on the November 15 episode of Dynamite to qualify for Full Gear.
Moreover, the other two qualifying matches will take place between The Outrunners and Top Flight, as well as LFI and The Acclaimed on Collision. Only time will tell which teams will challenge Private Party at Full Gear.
