Former WWE star offers to make AEW debut and become Ricochet's mystery partner - "I'm a pretty big star too"
This week's AEW Dynamite will take place at SNHU Arena in Manchester, New Hampshire. Ricochet will be in action, as he is set to tag with a mystery partner. Recently, a former WWE star offered to be the highflyer's tag team partner at the last minute.
Dijak was one of the most entertaining stars in NXT. Despite the success of his initial run in WWE's developmental brand, the 37-year-old was unable to make it big on the main roster, as his run as T-Bar in RETRIBUTION was a total disaster. He returned to the black-and-silver brand in 2022 during which he found himself in some notable storylines. However, he was released from the company earlier this year.
Since his release, Dijak has been competing in the independent circuits. Recently, AEW announced that Ricochet would team up with a mystery partner to compete against Konosuke Takeshita and Kyle Fletcher. The former NXT star recently took to X/Twitter to send a message to his former colleague and offered to be his tag team partner.
"Hi @KingRicochet, this is Donovan Dijak, last time you saw me I was T-Bar (sorry about the Retribution stuff) anyways I live about 26 minutes away from this arena so if you guys want to save on travel costs or whatever then I could definitely be your mystery partner... It is a Wednesday though so my kids go to bed at 7pm and Daddy usually tucks them in but like I said 26 min drive so shouldn’t really be an issue unless we are the opener. Probably shouldn’t be the opener though right cause you’re a big star and the other guys are big stars, and I’m a pretty big star too plus it’s like a surprise debut and a hometown pop and stuff so that would be pretty exciting, maybe it should be the main event instead?"
Dijak asked the former NXT North American Champion to text him if he was okay with them teaming up.
"I dunno just spitballing, so anyways yeah if you think that’s a cool idea shoot me a text, we’ve texted before so you have my number, or DM or whatever both are fine. If not no worries, I know it’s a little bit short notice, maybe you already have someone else in mind... But yeah either way let me know, hope all is well, good luck in your tag team match."

Another former WWE star teased that he is Ricochet's mystery partner
Looks like a lot of people are interested in being Ricochet's tag team partner for this match. Another former WWE star also teased that he was the mystery partner in his upcoming bout.
Following the announcement of the match, Matt Sydal (FKA Evan Bourne) took to his X/Twitter account and reacted with an open-eyed emoji, hinting that he could be the former Intercontinental Champion's mystery partner.
AEW is currently building towards Full Gear pay-per-view later this month. It will be interesting to see who Ricochet's mystery partner will be for his upcoming match on Dynamite.
