Former WWE star requests Tony Khan to bring her to AEW

A former WWE star recently requested Tony Khan to wrestle in AEW. The Jacksonville-based company has managed to sign major talents over the years and built a decent roster and the promotion could add La Catalina.

Catalina was mainly used as an enhancement talent in the Stamford-based promotion. Her WWE debut was in a Mixed Tag Team match where she teamed with Sin Cara on an episode of Monday Night RAW in 2019. She was later moved to the NXT brand in 2020 and wrestled in the lower card till 2021, until she was released in November 2021.

On her X account (Formerly known as Twitter), La Catalina retweeted Tony Khan's post where the AEW CEO promoted Catalina's NJPW Strong Women's Championship match against Stephanie Vaquer in Arena Mexico. The former WWE star stated that she wants Tony Khan to bring her to All Elite Wrestling.

"I hope @TonyKhan takes me to @AEW soon…my eyes are in the gold of @njpw1972."

Al Snow points out a major problem Tony Khan will have in AEW after Adam Copeland's injury

Adam Copeland fractured his Tibia during his TNT Championship defense against Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Cage Match at Double or Nothing. It is believed that Copeland will be out of action for a couple of months.

Speaking on Vince Russo's The Brand podcast, Al Snow explained why letting Copeland dive off the cage was a bad move and could hurt All Elite Wrestling.

"Why would you want to sign Adam 'Edge' Copeland onto AEW and then pay him whatever it is you're paying him? Because you're making an investment that you're going to be able to put him in the ring in front of an audience on a regular basis. A consistent basis to build him into a draw to capitalize on what he has grown in WWE. To elevate your talent and product and draw money," Snow said. [From 2:50 onwards]

Adam Copeland recently confirmed that he underwent successful surgery. It will be interesting to see if the Rated R Superstar can return to All Elite Wrestling later this year.
