Former WWE star to return after 2720 days and help Cody Rhodes beat Damian Priest at Crown Jewel? Exploring the possibility
A former WWE star who has been out of action for the past several years could make a surprising return at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event in order to help Cody Rhodes fend off The Judgment Day and defeat Damian Priest.
At the upcoming WWE Crown Jewel PLE, Cody Rhodes is set to square off against Senor Money in the Bank Damian Priest. The match was made official this week on RAW as The American Nightmare has some unfinished business with The Judgment Day after losing the Undisputed Tag Team Titles.
However, the numbers game could be too much for Cody as he might have to deal with interferences from Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor. Most importantly, Rhodes will need an assist to take Women's World Champion Rhea Ripley out of the equation. Enter Cody's better half, Brandi Rhodes.
Brandi has allegedly retired from in-ring competition but can still come out to help Cody. She performed in WWE years ago, and this will mark her return to the promotion after 2720 days. Brandi previously also served as the Chief Brand Officer of AEW alongside her husband, who was one of the EVPs.
The couple left Tony Khan's promotion last year, and while The American Nightmare is thriving as one of the top babyfaces in the Stamford-based promotion, Brandi's status remains undisclosed. Therefore, the member of The Nightmare Family could surprise fans and stop Rhea Ripley in her tracks at Crown Jewel.
Brandi Rhodes' WWE appearances after Cody Rhodes' return
Since Cody Rhodes made his way back to WWE, he has not been paired with his wife onscreen. Nonetheless, Brandi Rhodes has made a few appearances here and there. She was seen backstage in the behind-the-scenes footage of Cody's return at WrestleMania 38.
Furthermore, Brandi was also sitting in the front row to support her better half during his match against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39 earlier this year. Only time will tell if The Nightmare Family will have a full-fledged role under Triple H's creative regime.
