Former WWE star sends a two-word message after Ricochet's weird actions on AEW Dynamite: Holiday Bash
A former WWE star came face to face with Ricochet on AEW Dynamite. However, their segment ended awkwardly.
Swerve Strickland has been one of the top stars in AEW for quite some time now. He quickly rose to the pinnacle of the company and won the world title. This accomplishment alone makes him a marked man which is why MVP offered his services to Swerve.
This week on AEW Dynamite, Ricochet was in the back with Renee Paquette where he said that he came to the company to beat Will Ospreay and he was going to do that this Saturday on Collision. He was interrupted by Swerve who said that the high-flyer's follower mentality wasn't going to help him in AEW. The former Intercontinental Champion said that he was going to do something Swerve didn't do by winning the Continental Classic tournament. He ended the segment with a weird taunt.
Following this segment, Swerve Strickland took to social media to react to the awkward encounter with the former WWE star:
"Annoying af."

Jim Cornette trolled Ricochet for his promo skills
The former WWE star is no doubt one of the best in-ring performers. He can do things in the ring that most wrestlers can only dream of. Despite this, he has been lacking in the promo department and this week's episode of Dynamite showcased just how bad he can be when he talks. His promo skills have also garnered a lot of criticism from industry professionals.
Speaking on his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette said that the former WWE star would've been much more popular if he couldn't talk or use social media:
"I'm surprised they didn't have somebody cut Ricochet's vocal cords. He might be a bigger star if you didn't hear him spin and maybe break his fingers so he can't talk on Twitter. If Ricochet could not communicate in any way with the fans, I think he'd be a superstar." [1:04 - 1:24]
It will be interesting to see if the former North American Champion will be able to win the Continental Classic tournament.
