Former WWE star shows up on AEW Collision; forces Bobby Lashley to walk away
A former WWE Superstar appeared out of nowhere and brought the fight to Bobby Lashley and The Hurt Syndicate moments ago on Collision. He shockingly forced the entire faction to retreat. The name in question is Swerve Strickland.
On Collision, Daniel Garcia faced off against Shelton Benjamin as part of the Continental Classic. The TNT Champion was able to escape with a win via a roll-up pin on The Gold Standard. As Garcia was heading back up the ramp, he was blindsided by Bobby Lashley, who immediately put him in a chokehold.
The assault prompted Mark Briscoe to come to Garcia's aid with a chair in hand. Several officials and security tried restraining him to avoid further chaos. Amid this, Swerve Strickland appeared out of nowhere, climbed to the top rope, and went for a Swerve Stomp to the outside, taking out the security team and The Hurt Syndicate in the process.
A clip of the moment can be found below.
After the scuffle, Strickland called out Bobby Lashley, mentioning how he fulfilled his promise to take him out before 2024 ended. This was a sign that things weren't over between the former WWE stars. Meanwhile, The Realest, Daniel Garcia, and Mark Briscoe have just made themselves enemies of The Hurt Syndicate.
