Former WWE Superstar starts backstage fight in AEW
A former WWE Superstar orchestrated a backstage attack on the latest episode of AEW Collision, and two stars fell victim to it. This would be Samoa Joe and Hook going after Tony Nese and Ari Daivari of The Premier Athletes.
A few days ago on AEW Dynamite, the former WWE Cruiserweights appeared backstage to confront Hook and Joe, who were now in a partnership. They provoked the former FTW Champion, and Samoa Joe needed to hold him back.
It turns out that Joe did this so they could orchestrate a more calculated retaliation. Tonight on Collision, they decided to surprise the duo by jumping them in their locker room. They even brought along Katsuyori Shibata, who was tasked with holding a camera and filming the entire affair.
They broke into the locker room and assaulted Nese and Daivari before turning to Mark Sterling, their manager. Samoa Joe reiterated to him that they should remember what happened tonight and that they were the ones who attacked them.
At this point, this unique partnership between The Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil and the former AEW World Champion has been fruitful, and this could prove to be the mentorship that Hook needs so he can rise to the top.
With Shibata also seemingly on board with all of this, this unique team could prove to be a force to be reckoned with.
