Former WWE Superstar teases AEW return after nearly five months at All In

A former WWE Superstar might show up at the upcoming AEW All In Pay-Per-View at Wembley Stadium in London, United Kingdom. That would be Matt Cardona, formerly known as Zack Ryder. The 39-year-old is currently making waves in the independent circuit, especially Game Changer Wrestling (GCW).

In 2020, The Indy God had a brief run in AEW under a limited appearance deal where he worked in a few storylines featuring top current and former stars of the company such as Cody Rhodes, Dustin Rhodes, Q.T. Marshall, Scorpio Sky, and many more.

Matt's most recent appearance in the Tony Khan-led promotion was in March 2024, when he answered Adam Copeland's open challenge for the AEW TNT Championship. On the March 30, 2024, episode of Collision, he faced The Rated-R Superstar but unfortunately could not secure a win.

AEW is all set to host the All In Pay-Per-View at Wembley Stadium this year. The mega event will take place on August 25. Matt Cardona recently took to X/Twitter to share a post that appears to be a teaser for his appearance at the event. He tweeted the date on which All In is going to be held.

"8-25-24," Matt Cardona shared.

AEW fans would be patiently waiting to see whether or not The Indy God makes an appearance at the All In 2024 Pay-Per-View.

Matt Cardona wants to face WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes in a Deathmatch

A few days ago, a fan on X/Twitter asked Matt Cardona who would be his dream opponent for a Deathmatch. Without having any second thoughts, The Indy God named Cody Rhodes. Both stars are good friends from their time in WWE.

The 39-year-old first appeared in the Stamford-based promotion in 2005 and then made his main roster debut in 2007. He worked for the company for approximately 15 years before being released in 2020 due to budget cuts resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
