Former WWE United States Champion reacts as in-ring return after over 2 years is officially announced

Former WWE United States Champion MVP will return to the ring after two years. His return match is scheduled for next month. His last match took place on WWE's Flagship show Monday Night RAW in July 2022 where he and Omos suffered a loss against The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford).

Earlier this year, Montel Vontavious Porter confronted Josh Barnett at Bloodsport XI and challenged him to a singles match. The latter responded to his challenge and agreed to take him one-on-one at Bloodsport XII on November 24. MVP recently logged on to his official X (fka Twitter) account to react to the announcement about his first match in two years.

"I have always been a fan of Japanese wrestling & traditional submission grappling! Some of my 1st lessons in submission grappling came from the LEGEND, Josh Barnett. 11 years later, I'm a Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt. Multi-time grappling champion. Time to test myself," he said.
