Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion says he doesn't think he can wrestle forever

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson recently spoke about his in-ring future. He is set to quit full-time wrestling soon.

Earlier this year, The American Dragon revealed that he will conclude his full-time in-ring career in 2024. He will be retiring from active competition soon because he wants to spend more time with his family.

Danielson recently appeared on the Gorilla Position podcast, where he said he can't wrestle forever.

“I'm really walking back this idea of wrestling forever. I just don't think I can do it. And especially the style of wrestling. Because this is what’s kind of happened: Doctors have said, ‘Okay, we clear you to wrestle this kind of wrestling,’ and I can't stop myself from doing this kind of wrestling."

The American Dragon added that he had found other hobbies and interests besides being an in-ring competitor.

"I thought I’d be comfortable doing stuff like that, but it turns out that's just not what I want. And the stuff that I think I wanna do, I've found so many things now that fulfil me. There's the family aspect of it, but even within the realm of wrestling, helping with younger talent, helping with creative. I really enjoy that.” [H/T: WrestlePurists]

Bryan Danielson doesn't regret not working in WWE under Triple H

Many talents are happy working under The Game because of his success in WWE NXT and his relationship with co-workers. During the same chat with the Gorilla Position podcast, Danielson said he didn't regret not being part of WWE under Triple H.

He admitted that things had changed for the better in the Stamford-based promotion, but whatever time he spent in the promotion, he enjoyed it thoroughly.
