FTR pulled from big non-AEW event due to a serious reason
Former AEW World Tag Team Champions Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler of FTR have been pulled from a wrestling event. They will not make it to the show due to a concerning reason.
While FTR is among AEW's top tandems, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler also like to explore opportunities outside the Tony Khan-led promotion. The popular duo was scheduled to compete at Prestige Wrestling's Roseland 9 event on Sunday.
They were slated to take on Midnight Heat in a tag team contest. However, Harwood disclosed that he and Wheeler were stuck at the airport due to a hurricane, and the two didn't have cell service.
Prestige Wrestling's X/Twitter handle has now provided an update on FTR informing fans that the AEW tag team will not make it to the event due to Hurricane Helene and they have been replaced by the team of Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky.
"***ROSELAND 9 UPDATE*** Due to the effects of Hurricane Helene we must announce that FTR will not make it to the event. We have spoken with Dax & they are safe but it is impossible for them to make it to the airport. The new card is attached below with match changes & updates!"
FTR's last match on AEW TV
The former AEW World Tag Team Champions have been out of the title picture after their loss at All In 2024. At the event in England, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler failed to capture the gold from The Young Bucks.
After multiple tag team matches since All In, FTR last competed in a 10-man tag bout, where they teamed up with HOOK and The Outrunners, suffering a defeat against the Grizzled Young Veterans, Roderick Strong, The Beast Mortos, and Rush.
It will be interesting to see what's next for FTR in All Elite Wrestling. Will they continue to pursue the World Tag Team Title? Only time will tell.
