Goldberg addresses MJF's blatant disrespect towards him
Former WWE Universal Champion Goldberg recently spoke about MJF disrespecting him last year. The 57-year-old has not competed inside the ring since 2022.
MJF never shies away from taking massive jabs at fellow professional wrestlers. In one of his tweets last year, Friedman claimed that he would beat up Goldberg. He later deleted the post, but it seemingly caught the attention of the WWE Hall of Famer.
In a recent interview on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Goldberg addressed The Wolf of Wrestling taking shots at him in a promo. The wrestling legend said he understood that Friedman was in character and praised the path he had taken to elevate his pro wrestling career.
"Yeah, the respect that he didn't show me in one little promo thing but I get it. It's in character. But I'm proud that he has treated his career as such, very much so. Because, you know, it's not the normal path and you're gonna get resistant." [1:09:30 - 1:09:56]
Goldberg spoke about his experience wrestling for WWE in Saudi Arabia
In the same interview, the former Universal Champion detailed how he felt terrified before going to Saudi Arabia for the first time during his time with WWE.
Da Man said after experiencing the country's hospitality, his views completely changed. The veteran further mentioned that he received much respect from the locals in Saudi Arabia.
"You would think that I didn't think that I was gonna be lambasted by people in deep south. You think I was gonna be lambasted for going to Saudi Arabia, you think I was terrified going there? The first time I was terrified because you don't know. It's a stereotype thing. It was fabulous. It was the most unbelievable experience of my life. And that shows you right now that you can't stereotype anything or anybody because you're gonna be sadly mistaken because you're gonna be wrong. I was never shown any more respect than we were in Saudi and those people were so appreciative." [1:09:57 - 1:10:40]
Goldberg is currently a free agent. It will be interesting to see whether he will have a proper farewell match before hanging up his wrestling boots.
