Hangman Page sets tone for AEW Full Gear with bold statement on Dynamite
Hangman Page is set for a blockbuster bout against a long-time rival this month at AEW Full Gear 2024. Ahead of the upcoming pay-per-view, the former AEW World Champion picked up a huge win this week on Dynamite.
The November 13, 2024, edition of Dynamite aired from the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The show opened with a tag team bout pitting the unlikely duo of Christian Cage and Hangman Adam Page against Juice Robinson and Jay White of The Bang Bang Gang. The Switchblade is scheduled to face The Cowboy once again at Full Gear 2024 after the latter cost him a singles victory over The Patriarch last month.
Page and Cage managed to gain the advantage against their opponents on AEW Dynamite, courtesy of interference from the latter's "son," and stable-mate, Nick Wayne. However, The Prodigy was taken off the board by HOOK, after which the former Bullet Club Gold members mounted a powerful comeback.
Despite excellent tag team chemistry between White and Robinson, The Patriarchy exploited their numbers advantage, with Mother Wayne distracting the referee away from Rock Hard nearly pinning The Hangman. Ultimately, while King Switch incapacitated Christian with a Blade Runner on the ringside barricade, Robinson suffered a shot to the head from Cage's AEW World Championship contract case, delivered by Kip Sabian. A final Deadeye from Page sealed the win for his team.
It remains to be seen whether Hangman Page will be able to defeat Jay White at Full Gear later this month.
