"He's back" - Tony Khan announces sensational AEW Dynamite appearance
AEW is set to present the Title Tuesday edition of Dynamite tonight as the go-home show for WrestleDream. The show will feature several big matches, and now, at least one major appearance is planned. Tony Khan has just made a breaking announcement just hours before showtime.
Jay White debuted for All Elite Wrestling in February 2022, but fourteen months later, he signed a multi-year contract after leaving NJPW. The leader of the Bang Bang Gang has not wrestled since his Collision loss to Adam Page on July 6 as he took time off to deal with a foot injury. The 12-year industry veteran returned last week to save stablemate Juice Robinson from Hangman.
Switchblade is set for tonight's Title Tuesday special. Khan took to X/Twitter today to announce White for the show. The AEW President confirmed that the former World Trios Champion is gunning for Hangman.
"He's back TONIGHT. Switchblade Jay White! on TUESDAY Night Dynamite! After returning to AEW last Wednesday with his sights set on Hangman Page, @JayWhiteNZ's here TONIGHT! No Wednesday Dynamite this week! Dynamite is TONIGHT! Special Start Time on TBS 9pm ET/8pm CT TONIGHT," Tony Khan wrote with the graphic below.
White vs. Page is rumored for WrestleDream but not confirmed as of this writing. Jay won their first two singles matches in 2018 for NJPW, and then Hangman won their third-ever singles bout on Collision.
