"He's right" - Fans amused as Buddy Matthews roasts Dominik Mysterio while Rhea Ripley chuckles in the background

Buddy Matthews' real-life wife Rhea Ripley and Dominik Mysterio used to be an on-screen couple in WWE. But Dominik betrayed Ripley to start a romantic relationship with Liv Morgan. Since then, The Eradicator and 'Dirty' Dom have become bitter enemies.

Following the betrayal, fans have wanted to see The House of Black member target Dominik. Matthews recently addressed having a potential match with the WWE star.

During a recent Instagram Live, a fan asked whether Matthews would go one-on-one with Mysterio. In response, the former AEW World Trios Champion made a hilarious comment insinuating that The Judgment Day member could never beat him in a match. The claim even drew a chuckle from The Eradicator.

"The only way Dom would beat me is if I was a chicken tender and he was hungry," said Matthews.

Wrestling fans on X/Twitter quickly reacted to Buddy Matthews sarcastically taking a shot at Mysterio. Here are some of the notable responses:

"He's right.. Buddy would destroy Dom.. lol," a fan wrote.
"He didn't have to go that hard. LMAOO. I am cacklingg," a fan commented.

Some fans believed Dominik had the potential to take on Buddy Matthews and even beat him in a singles match.

"Not really… Dom already put his as* through a table and beat him," a user wrote.
"We all know the greatest Mysterio of all time would destroy him," a tweet read.

AEW adds Buddy Matthews to the Grand Slam poster

Next year's AEW Grand Slam will take place on February 15, 2025, at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Since Matthews is an Australian wrestler, many fans expected him to be featured on the event's official poster. However, the company shockingly didn't put him on the promotional material for the show.

Matthews wasn't happy about the situation and even aired his frustration on X/Twitter last month.
