Heel AEW star breaks silence after unsuspecting betrayal at WrestleDream
A recently-turned heel AEW star has broken his silence after shockingly betraying his mentor at WrestleDream 2024. The talent in question is Wheeler Yuta.
After a bloody, hard-fought contest in which he proved himself against Jon Moxley around two years ago on AEW Rampage, Wheeler Yuta joined the ranks of The Blackpool Combat Club. His solidarity with the group was tested recently after Claudio Castagnoli and Moxley betrayed and viciously attacked their stablemate Bryan Danielson at All Out 2024.
However, after The Purveyor of Violence defeated the 43-year-old to retire the latter and regain the AEW World Title at WrestleDream 2024, Yuta, despite his apparent reluctance, solidified his allegiance to Moxley and his allies by turning on Danielson. He choked him out with a plastic bag as a restrained Darby Allin helplessly watched on.
Wheeler Yuta recently took to Instagram, posting a picture of Jon Moxley handing him the bag with which he suffocated Bryan Danielson, and wrote an apology to The American Dragon for his betrayal in the Tacoma Dome.
"sorry, bryan," wrote Wheeler Yuta.
Notably, the post garnered a comment from rising AEW star Daniel Garcia, who harshly rebuked Yuta with a one-word remark over the latter's actions.
"Coward," wrote Garcia.

What transpired after the main event of AEW WrestleDream
Jon Moxley dethroned Bryan Danielson after a hard-hitting battle to become the new All Elite Wrestling World Champion at WrestleDream 2024, ending Bryan's full-time in-ring career in the process. Although Wheeler Yuta and Darby Allin rushed to the ring to prevent the new BCC from assaulting Bryan further, the former ROH Pure Champion laid out Allin with a running knee and then choked out Danielson with a plastic bag after Marina Shafir and PAC restrained the face-painted star by tying him up to the turnbuckles.
Claudio Castagnoli would then wrap a steel chair around Danielson's neck and deliver a vicious stomp on his long-time ally, seemingly on Mox's instructions. The horrifying nature of the attack prompted many babyfaces from the All Elite locker room to head to the ring, finally forcing The BCC to retreat.
Medical personnel would be seen helping load Danielson onto a stretcher as a devastated Allin looked on, flanked by Orange Cassidy, Daniel Garcia, and HOOK.
It remains to be seen what Jon Moxley and The BCC plan to do next in All Elite Wrestling.
