Hikaru Shida sends a message to Skye Blue after AEW abruptly stopped match due to injury

AEW Collision saw Hikaru Shida and Skye Blue lock up for the first time ever. The match ended early due to an injury, and that led to a major challenge being issued. Shida has now reached out to Blue with a definitive message.

The Shining Samurai and the Chicago-born grappler were tag team partners until going their separate ways. The second match of this week's Collision saw Shida and Blue go at it until the latter suffered an apparent knee injury. The show went to commercial as medics tended to the 24-year-old, and after the break, Shida was declared the winner due to referee stoppage. Officials helped Blue to the back, and Tony Khan later confirmed that she has an ankle injury.

Shida took to X today to issue a message to her former tag team partner. The three-time Women's World Champion offered to grant the up-and-coming Blue a rematch when she's medically cleared to compete.

"One more time when you ready, definitely. @Skyebyee #AEW #AEWCollision," Hikaru Shida wrote with the photo below.

Shida later appeared in a backstage segment on Collision, declaring that she still wanted to fight. The 36-year-old then challenged Britt Baker to a match on Wednesday's Dynamite. This will be the fourth Shida vs. Baker singles match, and Shida is currently leading the series 2-1.
