Huge debut announced for AEW Collision
AEW Collision will see the debut of a massive name. This could be great for the show and might draw in huge numbers.
The Hurt Syndicate has overtaken the company and run riot so far. Bobby Lashley and MVP have been at the forefront of things. However, Shelton Benjamin is right there with them. It has been announced that the former WWE star will make his Collision debut this Saturday.
Tony Khan took to Twitter to announce the news and wrote:
“This Saturday, 11/16 8pm ET/7pm CT on TNT Saturday Night #AEWCollision @Sheltyb803 vs @KomandercrMX. 2 of pro wrestling’s most incredible athletes collide Saturday! The Hurt Syndicate’s Shelton Benjamin will make his Collision debut vs the amazing Komander on TNT this Saturday!”
Given their intense rivalry with Swerve Strickland, it will be interesting to see how the match will pan out.
AEW star Shelton Benjamin takes a shot at WWE
Shelton Benjamin is a talented wrestler but was not fully utilized during his second run in the WWE.
He has now taken the liberty to call out how he was treated and pointed out how happy he is working with Tony Khan. He was a guest on Close Up with Renee Paquette when he said:
"I definitely feel like I've been suppressed. You know, I have been to business for a little bit so I have done a few things. Yeah, I've definitely felt like here in All Elite Wrestling, I had the opportunity to show fans who I really am, what I really can do. And not what was me doing what I had to do for the people I was working with previously. I really love that I can really be me in AEW."
For him to make such statements is quite bold but it also shows the kind of freedom he has been afforded in his new company.
