Huge obstacle for Tony Khan ahead of AEW's showdown with WWE Survivor Series: WarGames

AEW President Tony Khan will have a huge hurdle in the way during the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event. Certain shows of the Jacksonville-based promotions are set to collide with WWE's one of the 'Big Four' PLEs.

Since Tony Khan started All Elite Wrestling, fans have been excited about the battle between the two companies. AEW mostly went head-to-head against the NXT brand, where the latter won the rating war multiple times in 2024. The reason is that AEW's audience has significantly decreased since 2023, and NXT has moved to CW Network, which has benefitted them.

Survivor Series: WarGames has been a huge talking point in the wrestling industry, as the exciting event will take place in a couple of weeks on November 30, 2024. The event will feature several matches along with two WarGames matches.

Last week, Dynamite collided with NXT, as the show moved to Wednesday for one night. Despite Dynamite being on the Jacksonville-based promotion's regular slot, they lost to WWE's developmental brand in terms of viewership.

According to TNT's schedule, the two companies will conflict with each other again as Rampage and Collision will be running in a three-hour block on November 30. The main show of the Survivor Series: WarGames will go against the AEW shows.

Bully Ray takes a direct shot at Chris Jericho after WWE NXT defeated AEW last week

Last week's NXT kicked off with the old ECW theme, and many legends were involved. Bully Ray was also featured, and NXT won in ratings by a huge margin against Dynamite.

While speaking on a virtual signing with Signed by Superstars, WWE veteran Bully Ray took a jab at Chris Jericho after claiming that he was the 'Ratings God' and called out the Demo God, directly calling out Jericho.

“NXT beat AEW in the ratings last night! Why? [points to himself] Ratings God! Not the demo god, but the rating’s god. Take that, Chris Jericho!” he said.

It will be interesting to see how AEW arranges its lineup as it is going head to head against the mighty Survivor Series: WarGames.
