Huge update on The Young Bucks after AEW walkout
Following them turning their backs on AEW almost a month ago, the next endeavor of The Young Bucks has just been revealed. This will see them doing something outside of the company.
It was recently revealed that they will be competing at Wrestle Dynasty on January fifth, which will be the next major crossover event between AEW, NJPW, CMLL, and Stardom. This will be their first match since dropping the AEW tag team titles to Private Party at Fright Night Dynamite.
Yesterday, The Young Bucks dropped a challenge to the current IWGP Tag Team Champions for a match at the pay-per-view. Tonight, NJPW has just revealed that this match has been made official. Great-O-Khan and HENARE of United Empire are set to put their titles on the line against The EVPs.
"After a challenge from The Young Bucks was accepted by Great-O-Khan and HENARE, an IWGP Tag Team Championship match has been added to January 5 at #wrestledynasty!"
A popular AEW star says he has unfinished business with The Young Bucks
During their time as the power-hungry EVPs, the Jackson Brothers have made a lot of enemies. Despite now being overpowered by Jon Moxley and the Death Riders and being forced to make a tactical retreat by "working from home, " it seems that several stars on the roster are still not on good terms with them.
One of them is Kenny Omega. During an interview with NJPW, The Cleaner mentioned how he still had unfinished business with all four members of The Elite. Back in May, during his brief return to AEW, the group took him out, and he is still looking for retribution.
"We’ve got a lot of unfinished business. I’ve got unfinished business with The Bucks, I’ve got unfinished business with Jack Perry. I’ve got unfinished business with Okada, clearly." [H/T - Fightful]
At Wrestle Dynasty, both Omega and The Young Bucks will be in Japan for the pay-per-view as the former is set to face Gabe Kidd in singles action. It remains to be seen whether they could cross paths and rekindle this feud.
