Huge update on The Young Bucks amid AEW absence
A new update on former AEW World Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks' immediate future has surfaced. The EVPs have not been seen on TV since losing their tag team gold.
On the October 30 episode of Dynamite, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson lost the World Tag Team Title to Private Party in a great match. Following their loss, the company's EVPs seemingly fled the arena in fear of Jon Moxley and The Death Riders.
The Bucks later announced that they would return to New Japan Pro-Wrestling at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5, 2025. Amid their absence from AEW TV, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson were announced for a major tag team match at the upcoming Tokyo Dome event.
NJPW Global's X/Twitter recently announced that Great-O-Khan and HENARE would have to vacate their IWGP Tag Team Championship due to HENARE's injury. Hence, Great-O-Khan would have to find a new partner to compete for the IWGP Tag Team Title against The Young Bucks at Wrestle Dynasty.
The Bucks were already slated to challenge Great-O-Khan and HENARE for the IWGP Tag Team Championship, but now they would fight for the vacant title.
Top AEW star has unfinished business with The Young Bucks
Former AEW World Champion Kenny Omega made his TV return earlier this year but was brutally assaulted by the new Elite, consisting of The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, and Jack Perry.
In an interview on NJPW's YouTube channel last month, Omega discussed his 'unfinished business' with the Bucks, Okada, and Perry.
"We’ve got a lot of unfinished business. I’ve got unfinished business with the Bucks, I’ve got unfinished business with Jack Perry. I’ve got unfinished business with Okada, clearly."
Fans can expect Kenny Omega to confront Matthew and Nicholas Jackson at Wrestle Dynasty. For those unaware, Omega will also compete on the much-awaited show. Only time will tell how the story between the former stablemates plays out.
