Hulk Hogan's absence from WWE Saturday Night's Main Event analyzed by veteranĀ

Despite being one of the most prominent names ever in pro wrestling, Hulk Hogan was conspicuously absent at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event earlier this month. AEW personality and veteran Jeff Jarrett recently shared his thoughts on the matter.

The sports entertainment juggernaut held the 37th edition of Saturday Night's Main Event on December 14 at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The special featured several treats for the audiences by way of throwback, including the commentary of Jesse Ventura, the return of the classic red, blue and white ring ropes, and the comeback of the iconic Winged-Eagle belt around the waist of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes for his title fight against Kevin Owens.

Interestingly, despite witnessing appearances from legends like Tito Santana, Jimmy Hart, Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, and Koko B. Ware, Saturday Night's Main Event this past weekend did not feature WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan. On a recent edition of his My World podcast, AEW veteran and Director of Business Development Jeff Jarrett speculated on The Hulkster's absence from the revived show, despite having prominently wrestled on it throughout the 1980s and in the early 90s.

"Hulk's gotten very political... And is that an NBC call and not an Endeavor call? I have no idea," said Jarrett. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]

Notably, Hogan was a speaker at the RNC this year, besides endorsing Donald Trump for the Presidential elections and making questionable remarks about the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. He confirmed having signed a five-year deal with the Stamford-based company earlier this year.

WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett on a possible career transition

Jeff Jarrett was on commentary duty on the 2024 Title Tuesday edition of AEW Dynamite. On an edition of his My World podcast some time ago, a fan asked Double J if he was interested in transitioning to the role of an announcer after hanging up his boots. Jarrett explained that he would have said no prior to his experience on Dynamite, but indicated that he has since been open to the possibility of becoming a commentator after retiring, stating that it would "be a bonus to [his] career."

The former WWE Intercontinental Champion was last seen in action on Collision: Grand Slam, where he lost to Hangman Page in a Lumberjack Strap Match.
