Hurt Syndicate member hints at partnership with 2-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion
The Hurt Syndicate is one of the hottest factions in All Elite Wrestling. Their members are former WWE stars, Shelton Benjamin, MVP, and Bobby Lashley. Although The Hurt Syndicate has three members currently, they actively seek to expand.
For the past few weeks, MVP has been trying to recruit new members. He has approached Max Caster, Ricochet, Mercedes Moné, and more. The faction has also teased the addition of other prominent names. However, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin recently dropped one of the biggest hints ever. He posted a picture of two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Christian Cage. Its caption read:
"What up old friend, Let’s talk Business #thehurtsyndicate #aew #wehurtpeople."
Even though it is highly unlikely, it will be interesting if Christian Cage joins The Hurt Syndicate. The 51-year-old modern-day great is a two-time AEW TNT Champion and a former AEW World Trios Champion. Furthermore, he won a Casino Gauntlet Match at All In, which gives him the right to challenge for the AEW World Championship whenever he wants.
MVP mentions the qualities needed to join The Hurt Syndicate
MVP, Shelton Benjamin, and Bobby Lashley were interviewed by Renee Paquette recently on AEW Close-Up. They discussed the possibility of adding a fourth member to their stable. Although Porter didn't give out too much information, he stated a few qualities a wrestler needed if he or she were to join the faction.
"Well number one is coachability. They have to be coachable. Number two, they have to have swag, swagger, a sense of style and fashion because we are hashtag fashionably violent ... you can't have a nice pair of jeans. But I think the number one thing is coachability, athletic ability, and the desire to hurt people for money," said MVP. [H/T: Wrestling Inc.]
Under WWE's banner, this faction was known as The Hurt Business. The fans are excited to see what the future holds for the trio in AEW.
