Hurt Syndicate member reveals potential plans in AEW after recent move
A member of The Hurt Syndicate recently discussed his plans in AEW. Just weeks after his debut, Shelton Benjamin also commented on his dream opponents in the company.
Shelton Benjamin made his AEW debut after departing from WWE last year. He defeated Lio Rush and Sammy Guevara in his first two matches. On Fright Night Dynamite last week, Benjamin squared off against Swerve Strickland in a losing effort.
The Gold Standard recently opened up about the wrestlers he would like to face in All Elite Wrestling. On the Busted Open podcast, Benjamin said he wanted to lock horns with Will Ospreay, MJF, Jon Moxley, and others.
"AEW is flooded with great talents. My first thought, because I think the guy is phenomenal, is Will Ospreay. I would love to work with Moxley (...) I don't even know we've shared a locker room until now. Swerve is someone I wanted to wrestle, MJF (...) [Powerhouse] Hobbs."
Shelton Benjamin also expressed his desire to take on Christian Cage and Adam Copeland (fka Edge).
"There's even some old, familiar faces, there's obviously, I've always felt that myself and Christian have dynamite matches, obviously me and Edge had dynamite matches. There's just so much talent. When I start going down the list, there's so many first-time opportunities there (...) it's a very long list, but those are just the highlights, those aren't the only names on that list." The Hurt Syndicate's next segment announced for AEW Dynamite
Upon his debut on Dynamite last week, Bobby Lashley joined forces with MVP and Shelton Benjamin. All Elite Wrestling officially acknowledged the trio as The Hurt Syndicate. The faction is set to make an appearance on Wednesday's program.
Fans could expect Swerve Strickland to confront The Hurt Syndicate on Dynamite after Lashley attacked him last week. It remains to be seen what's next in the compelling storyline.
