"I can't disagree with that" - AEW Official supports ex-WWE star on Vince McMahon's business ethics

A top AEW official sided with former WWE star Maven’s claims on the business ethics of former boss Vince McMahon. This could be an eye-opener for some fans.

Vince McMahon left the WWE with a cloud over his head, and many of his former employees called him out for not caring too much and taking a cold approach to things. Maven recently claimed that Vince is a "transactional human being."

Jeff Jarrett has now given his take on Maven’s comments and sided with him, saying he can't disagree with his statement. The Director of Business Development of AEW was speaking on his My World podcast when he said:

“Yeah, I can’t disagree with that. And now I do think — you know, a lot of people, there’s such a mystique and an aura around him, and all the controversial stuff and all the current, we’ll call it litigation, and all that kind of stuff. But you know, I do think Vince has a human side to him. But when it came down to business, he’s not the only businessman that looked at it completely transactional.” [H/T EWrestling News]

AEW star Jeff Jarrett can understand why Vince McMahon was transactional

In the same episode, the AEW star also stressed why he thinks Vince McMahon was transactional and said that such was the nature of the business.

“And I think — it’s my understanding and here and being around him all those years, hearing my father talk and others talk, he’s modeling what his old man was and probably what his old man’s peers were. It was, ‘That’s how the business operated.’ Take it or leave it, for better or worse. Come in, if you can make money off of talent you do, and if not you cut them loose."

However, Jarrett noted that it was all part of the wrestling business:

"Just a business. Jack Welch, and all the other famous CEOs. It’s just how the wrestling business is. Our business is unique because there’s such a human side to it, and a larger-than-life, and a myth side. But good for Maven. He kind of phrased it for you. I’ve always kind of looked at him that way, though.” [H/T EWrestling News]

It will be interesting to see what kind of fallout there will be to these comments.
