"I don’t want him to leave" - Veteran against current WWE star parting ways with Triple H to join AEW
A TNA Wrestling veteran wants a RAW Superstar to stay with WWE instead of potentially signing with AEW. The star being discussed is Ricochet. He is arguably among the most underrated performers in the global juggernaut, and many want him to be featured in a more prominent role. Matt Morgan recently discussed what the former United States Champion should do next in his career.
Ricochet will reportedly be a free agent this July, as he has decided not to renew his deal with the Stamford-based promotion. Amid widespread speculation about his pro wrestling future, he was brutally attacked by Bron Breakker a couple of weeks ago on RAW. WWE later announced that The Human Highlight Reel had been sidelined due to injuries, which might be a way to write him off TV.
After Breakker's vicious attack on Ricochet, many fans and veterans believe he is AEW-bound. On the Gigantic Pop podcast, Matt Morgan said he wanted the 35-year-old to re-sign with the Stamford-based promotion and work with Triple H. The Blueprint further mentioned that he admired the former United States Champion.
"Okay, well that's a whole different conversation. I did not know that. If he's gonna get money like that paid, then god bless him. (...) So we don't think at all Samantha Irvin could like maybe pull him back to WWE. I'm being desperate because I don't want him to leave, I love him. I don't want him to leave WWE," Morgan said. Michael Cole doesn't know whether Ricochet will ever be seen in WWE
Ricochet hasn't been seen on TV since being attacked by Bron Breakker on RAW. The second-generation star slammed the former United States Champion on the windshield of a car during their last interaction.
On a recent edition of RAW, commentator Michael Cole said Breakker severely hurt Ricochet. The veteran commentator added that he was unsure whether The One and Only would ever be seen in the global juggernaut.
"Bron Breakker made quick work of Ricochet, and who knows if we'll ever see him again."
It remains to be seen what is next for Ricochet in the pro wrestling business. Will he re-sign with the Triple H-led company? Fans must stay tuned to find out.
