"I know it happened" - Popular star reveals Jon Moxley made a massive demand before their match

A veteran star has revealed details of an unexpected demand Jon Moxley made before their match outside AEW. Nick Gage disclosed that Moxley demanded both performers be paid the same amount ahead of their match in GCW.

The AEW World Champion is one of the biggest names in wrestling today, whose on-screen character shows him wreaking havoc on the company's roster. However, there have been countless heartwarming stories of Jon Moxley's kindness behind the scenes throughout his run with All Elite Wrestling.

In a recent appearance on the Blvd Bullies livestream, Nick Gage recalled competing against Mox, who's arguably one of his greatest rivals. Gage revealed that though Moxley is a much bigger name than him, he asked GCW to pay them an equal amount for their match in the popular independent promotion.

"I wasn’t there but I know that definitely happened [Jon Moxley demanded Brett Lauderdale to pay him & Nick Gage the same amount]. I was there, but I wasn’t in the vicinity (…) But I know that happened," said Nick Gage. (H/T: Post Wrestling)

Jon Moxley has a long-term vision for AEW

Moxley, who seldom gives interviews, recently chatted with Youngstown Studios, where he laid out his long-term vision for All Elite Wrestling. The AEW World Champion made it clear he wasn't bothered about the ongoing chatter about the company but was more focused on where it stood two decades down the line.

"I'm not really concerned about what it is right now, I'm concerned about what it could be five years from now, 10 years from now, or 20 years from now. That is the exciting thing for me. Now, we have a new television deal, now we'll be streaming on HBO Max which brings out new opportunities. Pro wrestling is always changing, always growing, and always evolving, and if you don't keep up with it and are not constantly learning, you get left behind. "

AEW recently renewed its broadcasting deal with WBD, which, according to reports, would finally make the company profitable.
