"I have at least one or two more fights left in me" - Bobby Lashley gives a major update on his future

It's been a few months since Bobby Lashley debuted in AEW. He's already provided a major update on his future.

Bobby Lashley is known for being a physical specimen in the ring. He also is an athlete in the truest sense of the word. Before making a name for himself in the WWE, Lashley served in the US Army as a Sergeant. Following his first run in the Stamford-based promotion, The All Mighty went on to wrestle in the indies.

During this time, he also tried his hand at mixed martial arts and fought for various promotions, such as Strikeforce, Titan Fighting Championship, and Bellator MMA. He also holds an impressive 15-2 record in mixed-martial-arts. Sadly, he had to put his MMA career on hold when he returned to WWE.

However, now that he is no longer part of the Stamford-based promotion, those doors may have finally opened again. During a recent interview with Fightful, The All Mighty said that he still has a few more fights left in him, indicating that a return to the cage might be possible.

"Everything's on the table man. You know when you can't do it anymore, you're going to look back and say I wish I had. So, I don't want to be that person. I do think I have at least one or two more fights left in me and I'd like to be able to do them," he said. [4:50 - 5:05]

Bobby Lashley says Adam Copeland played role in his move to AEW

Bobby Lashley made his first appearance in AEW on the October 30 episode of Dynamite. He confronted Swerve Strickland before assaulting him. He even competed in his debut match for the promotion at Full Gear 2024 against the former World Champion and won in dominating fashion. Fans have been excited to see The All Mighty in AEW and they can thank Adam Copeland (fka Edge) for this.

During a recent interview on the Sports Guys Talk Wrestling podcast, Bobby Lashley said that he spoke to Adam Copeland, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin before signing with AEW. He said Copeland told him how much he loved it in the Jacksonville-based promotion, which was important for The All Mighty.

"I spoke to Edge [Adam Copeland], also, I spoke to MVP, of course, and Shelton [Benjamin] kinda’ talked about it. When I talked to Edge, Edge really, really made some good points and he just told me how much he loved it over there and that was a big thing for me," he said. [H/T EWrestling News]

It will be interesting to see Bobby Lashley step back into the cage for another MMA fight in the near future.
