"I'll see you either in two weeks or five years" - Big star reveals last backstage chat with Ricochet before rumored AEW debut

A former WWE star opened up on his last backstage conversation with the former Intercontinental champion, Ricochet. The star is rumored to make his AEW debut after his recent departure from the Stamford-based promotion.

The big star in question is none other than Dijak. The 37-year-old star recently announced his departure from the WWE after his contract with the company came to an end. He is headed to the independent wrestling scene currently.

The 6ft 7in star recently disclosed his last backstage chat with Ricochet, who is rumored to depart from the Stamford-based promotion and make his AEW debut. In his recent interview with Forbes, Dijak revealed the following:

"I was talking in the AEW backstage area with so many people that I haven't seen for such a long time, and I was telling anecdotes about how difficult it is, knowing that was the last time me and Ricochet were in the locker room together. And it was funny, we had a conversation. I thanked him for everything. I said goodbye to him and I said, ‘Hey man, I'll see you either in two weeks or five years."

Dijak further added:

"I don't know which one it's going to be. And we laughed about it. At the time, we genuinely didn't know. That's just how professional wrestling works. Sometimes you say goodbye to your friends and you don't see them for five years just because that's the nature of the business." (H/T Forbes)

It should be noted that although Dijak said AEW, it could be the WWE backstage area he was referring to.

WWE legend says Ricochet should go to AEW

The WWE legend, Booker T recently shared his thoughts on why Ricochet should sign with AEW after his WWE departure. Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker stated the following:

"I think Ricochet is one of those guys who'd fit into somewhere like AEW. When he goes into the ring, he is gonna be looking for a five-star match ... I just think that's his mentality, to go out and perform, and perform at that highest level that he possibly can and go out there and create some magic in the middle of the ring."

Moreover, fans have been anticipating the AEW arrival of the 35-year-old star ever since the news of his WWE departure. Only time will tell if he actually shows up on Tony Khan's promotion.
