"I'm not your date" - AEW star warns fans about putting arms around their waists in photos
AEW faction The Hurt Syndicate currently consists of Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and manager MVP. The trio are new to the Jacksonville-based company. However, they are a force to be reckoned with.
Even though Montel Vontavious Porter has not wrestled in a long time, his WWE run was quite memorable. He is immensely popular among fans. Furthermore, he is often seen interacting and taking pictures with them. Recently, the 51-year-old released a statement on X (fka Twitter), where he urged fans to treat wrestlers with respect while taking photos with them. He asked them not to put their hands on the waist of the stars while clicking pictures.

MVP reveals why he quit WWE and joined AEW
MVP's recent WWE stint ended earlier this year. During a recent interview with Drop The Heat, the 51-year-old revealed why he chose not to re-sign with the Stamford-based promotion and join AEW instead. Montel Vontavious Porter stated that one of his main reasons was that WWE got new management.
“This time, I didn’t want to re-sign. And I let it be known that I wasn’t going to re-sign because the new management in place — anytime, I don’t care where you work, when new management comes in, it’s good for some people and not for other people. New people come in, old people go. So I just felt that it was definitely time to go because the new management just wasn’t for me and I ain’t for him," said The Hurt Syndicate manager. MVP has held the WWE United States Championship twice and is a former WWE Tag Team Champion with Matt Hardy. It'll be interesting to see what the Jacksonville-based promotion has in store for the veteran.
