"I'm ready to do it" - Darby Allin gives a shocking update on his future outside AEW

AEW star Darby Allin recently provided an update on his future outside of the promotion. The 31-year-old AEW star is one of the most fearless wrestlers on the All Elite Wrestling roster.

Darby Allin is no stranger to pulling risky moves as he planned on climbing Mount Everest earlier this year in April. However, a broken foot prevented him from achieving his goal. Allin still has his sights set on becoming the first wrestler to climb the mountain.

In a recent interview with Levack and Goz, Darby Allin revealed that breaking his foot before climbing was the most depressing thing for him. However, the star stated that he is ready to climb Mount Everest next year.

“Yup. Two weeks before I was supposed to leave, I broke that foot. It was the most depressing thing ever. Everybody was like, ‘It’s a sign that you shouldn’t climb.’ Hell no. It’s a sign that I should climb next year. We’re coming up and it’s right around the corner. I’m ready to do it.” [H/T: Insidetheropes]

AEW Darby Allin also provided an update on his physical condition

Darby Allin takes some of the most brutal bumps in the wrestling ring. Earlier this year, he was thrown off the top of the ladder on glass by The Young Bucks at the AEW Revolution Pay-Per-View. The former TNT Champion lives on these thrilling experiences as he has his sights set on climbing Mount Everest next year.

In the same interview, Darby revealed how he focuses on his physical recovery as he doesn't want to climb the mountain with a damaged body. He further explained how he's training his body for the climb.

“I have to stay pinpoint on my physical recovery. I can’t go in there with a bad wheel or a banged up piece of body. Every day, I’m in the ice bath, I’m in the sauna, I have this breathing machine. Everything I can do to stay healthy. Yoga. I do everything. I’m crazy about physical recovery.” [H/T: Insidetheropes]

It will be interesting to see how Darby Allin gets booked in AEW leading up to his Mount Everest climb next year.
