"I respect that" - AEW rival breaks character on Mercedes Mone not wanting her brother exposed to hardcore violence

Hardcore wrestling can sometimes get extremely violent. Mercedes Mone recently stated that she doesn't want her brother to watch something of such nature. Her rival Kris Statlander broke on-screen character to agree with her.

Statlander and Mone have been feuding for a few weeks now. This week on Dynamite, Renee Paquette caught up with the former TBS Champion for a brief backstage interview.

Following their conversation, the fans saw Mone's bodyguard Kamille almost running a car over Statlander. The latter then retaliated by attacking the current TBS Champions and her accomplice.

Mone recently made a statement where she stated that she didn't want her brother Joshua exposed to hardcore violence. Reacting to her statement on Ring The Belle podcast, Kris Statlander said she respects Mone's feelings.

"I mean like I said everyone has their different perspectives on hardcore wrestling and I would understand that she wouldn't want him to see her in that type of position as a sibling and sometimes people don't need to be exposed to that level of violence and see that people being okay and be like, 'Oh these are the co-workers that work with my sister.' So I completely understand that I respect that there's it's not for everybody." [From 6:40 to 7:08]
