“I will be back stronger than ever,” says a semi-retired WWE Attitude Era legend
A WWE veteran has vowed to return stronger amid his AEW absence. The star being discussed is Gangrel. He wrestles occasionally at Coastal Championship Wrestling and is also a head trainer in the promotion.
The 55-year-old star joined WWE in 1993. He is known for working in The Brood faction with Christian Cage and Adam Copeland. The faction was active from 1998 to 1999 before Copeland and Cage formed a tag team. Gangrel was released in 2001.
Gangrel has made multiple apperances for AEW in 2020 and 2022. He returned to the company to assist Adam Copeland. The latter was battling Malakai Black in a Steel Cage match at Double or Nothing pay-per-view. While House of Black outnumbered the Rated-R Superstar, the Attitude Era legend arrived and helped him retain the TNT Championship.
Gangrel recently shared a picture on Twitter with the CCW talent, saying he will be returning "stronger than ever."
"Well one morning the books. Tomorrow starts a new chapter for me hopefully, I will be back stronger than ever but for now, have a good night and hopefully see you all again soon! Keep pushing and definitely keep #fanginNbangin," he wrote.
WWE veteran Gangrel sends a message to Swerve Strickland
Swerve Strickland has been the reigning AEW World Champion for over three months and is currently the talk of the town.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Bill Apter asked Gangrel to cut a promo on the Strickland.
"Swerve [Strickland], want some, get some, bad enough to take some. I'm coming for more than your soul, more than your blood. I'm coming for your career. It's Gangrel the vampire, where it's gonna be a bloodbath," he said.
It remains to be seen when the WWE's Attitude Era star will return to AEW again.
