"It didn't even look like him" - WWE veteran skeptical about Shane McMahon and Tony Khan's photo
Former WWE manager Dutch Mantell showed skepticism towards the viral photo of Shane McMahon and AEW President Tony Khan. The veteran also speculated about how the picture was leaked.
The viral picture of the private meeting between Shane McMahon and Tony Khan continues to be the talking point among the wrestling fraternity. The rumors of Shane O'Mac joining AEW have been circulating for months and his meeting with Khan has fueled said rumors even more.
Speaking on his Story Time podcast recently, Dutch Mantell at first refused to believe that it was Shane O'Mac in the viral picture, then speculated about how the picture of the meeting between Tony and Shane could've been leaked.
"The photo doesn't show Shane, it does? It didn't even look like him to me, I don't know. [...] To me it doesn't look like him. [...] Okay listen, I don't think anybody just popped in that room, 'Click' and left and they were looking at it, so was that... apparently it was leaked from Tony Khan, gotta be leaked."
Dutch Mantell further posed an important question regarding McMahon:
"But I don't know what that does for... I hear that starts people talking and the old saying is, 'Even bad publicity is good publicity.' So the question is now, 'Would Shane McMahon make an appearance in AEW?'" [From 20:58 to 22:36]
