"It doesn't make me happy" - Current WWE name addresses MJF and Britt Baker's backstage confrontation in AEW

MJF and Britt Baker recently got into a backstage confrontation in AEW. A current WWE name has now spoken about the issue.

Sam Roberts is the latest to comment on the MJF and Britt Baker situation. The AEW locker room has seen its fair share of squabbles over the years and it continues to do so. There has been another backstage confrontation that took place recently between Maxwell Jacob Friedman and Baker.

It all started when reportedly Baker started mouthing off about Friedman in front of his girlfriend Alicia Atout. As a result, the AEW American Champion confronted her which led to a heated argument between the two. Baker also confronted Alicia for spilling what she said to her boyfriend. An investigation was conducted and Baker was suspended for two weeks while Friedman wasn't punished for the confrontation.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts briefly spoke about the confrontation that took place between Britt Baker and MJF. The WWE personality condemned it and called it bad for business:

"It doesn't make me happy when I read stories like 'oh, you know two of the talent at AEW got into a backstage squabble and one of them got suspended' and it's like all that stuff is not good for business. It's not good for the business of AEW. It's not good for the business of professional wrestling." [46:00 - 46:18]

Michael Oku is confident he can end MJF's title reign ahead of AEW All in

MJF is set to defend his title against Will Ospreay at AEW All In in London, England. However, he must defend his title against Michael Oku at RevPro's Summer Sizzler 2024.

During a recent interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, Michael Oku stated that he is confident he can beat Friedman and end his title reign:

"What’s funny is that no matter what MJF says, and he has said a lot, he said a lot in his promo and he does the whole thing of being confident and insulting the country, insulting me by calling me scrawny, what he can’t change is that factually, he challenged me. I didn’t put in some application form or try to message people like Tony Khan or Chris Jericho, I was just here putting full focus into the Copper Box, and he said 'I want to wrestle Michael Oku,' so no matter what he says in terms of insults, he can’t change that fact. I am sure I am going to shock the world once again.” [H/T cultaholic]

It remains to be seen if Michael Oku's self-confidence will help him beat Maxwell Jacob Friedman at RevPro Summer Sizzler 2024.
